Stinging Nettle tincture, Urtica dioica, 30 ml extract in alcohol.
Nettles have a long history of use, dating back to the bronze age, where garments woven with the plant were believed to keep the wearer protected and healthy.
Native Americans used them to stop bleeding after child birth and in Victorian times, nettle tinctures were used to thicken the hair. The most common uses of nettles today are in fact to stimulate hair growth as well as to ease allergies and arthritic discomfort.
Nettles are very nutrient rich, increasing energy by nourishing the adrenals.
They are adaptogenic, (this means they enhance the body's natural response to physical and emotional stress) and have traditionally been used as a spring tonic. It is a slow-acting nutritive herb that gently cleanses the body of metabolic wastes.
